About the role
Lead AerFin’s global trading strategy and shape the future of aviation asset value creation.
We’re looking for an exceptional commercial leader to take ownership of our global Trading function, driving sustainable revenue growth, margin expansion, and long-term profitability across aircraft, engines, and component portfolios. This is a high-impact, senior leadership role with full P&L accountability, significant external market visibility, and direct influence on strategic investment decisions.
You will define and execute AerFin’s global trading strategy, optimising asset lifecycle performance from acquisition through to remarketing, while building strong relationships across the aviation ecosystem.
What you'll do
Own and deliver the global trading strategy aligned to growth and risk objectives
Drive overall commercial performance with full P&L accountability
Lead complex, high-value negotiations with airlines, lessors, OEMs, and MROs
Optimise asset lifecycle strategy (acquisition, leasing, teardown, remarketing)
Establish a high-performing global account management approach
Oversee trading risk across market, credit, residual value, and geopolitical factors
Leverage data and market insight to maximise timing, pricing, and returns
Build and maintain senior industry relationships to drive deal flow
Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing commercial team
Partner cross-functionally to ensure effective execution and governance
Act as a senior ambassador for AerFin in the global market
What we're looking for
12+ years’ experience in aviation trading, leasing, or asset management
Proven track record closing complex, high-value transactions
Strong P&L ownership and commercial leadership background
Deep market knowledge (aircraft/engine values, leasing, remarketing)
Experience managing trading and portfolio risk
Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing teams
International mindset with global operating experience
Senior leadership background in a lessor, airline, OEM, MRO, or asset manager preferred
Established global network with repeat deal flow is a plus
Multi-jurisdiction regulatory and compliance experience is beneficial
